Art

Open to everyone who’d like to be creative. You can work on your own project in a social environment as well as learn new techniques from the facilitator. Artists are required to bring their own material.

Days: Mondays, during school term only

Community Garden

Cultivating Communities provides garden plots for low income and migrant communities to access healthy, affordable, and culturally appropriate food. They have a public housing community garden across the road from the community centre.

Gardening Group

We also have a gardening group that comes together each Thursday to work on our common grounds garden beds.

The group focuses on urban food gardens, and everyone shares in the bounty when it comes time to harvest! If you love indoor plants or native gardening we welcome you to join to, as the group covers many topics.

Come and learn skills, connect with like minded individuals and enjoy social, friendly gardening in raised beds.

Days: Every Thursday of the month

Time: 1:30pm – 3:00pm

Location: Gardens / Community Shed

Internet Access

We have three computers with internet access available for public use from 9:30am to 4:30pm.

Use is limited to two hours and no booking is required.

Men’s Group

Drop-in to chat and have a BBQ lunch with other local men. This is a great opportunity to meet new people or catch up with old friends.

Days: First Friday of the month

Time: 11:30am – 1:30pm

Location: Wingate Shed

Patchwork & SEWING

Join our friendly patchwork & sewing group and learn to make your own patchwork or sew – bring along clothing repairs, or fabric and a pattern and work in a group environment to improve your skills.

Days: Mondays, during school term only

Time: 1:30pm – 3:30pm

Cost: $2 per session

Singing

Singing is great for the soul!

The Community Singing Group meet weekly to sing for the enjoyment singing. We sing a variety of genres – pop, rock, jazz, musicals, folk, blues and contemporary. We also sing for the residents of the local aged care homes and at community events.

Days: Fridays, during school term only

Time: 10.00am – 11.30am

Cost: $6.00 per class

Women’s Group

Come along and enjoy learning new skills and join in fun activities with women from the local community, in this supportive environment.

Day: Third Thursday of every month

Time: 12:30pm – 2:30pm
